Passengers can now monitor the real-time locations and arrival times of Metro buses through the LMT GO mobile application, Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena announced.
Speaking at the launch of the new facility, Gunasena said the GPS-enabled service allows commuters to track bus locations, check estimated arrival times at bus stops, view fare information, and monitor travel times to upcoming destinations.
He said the initiative was introduced to provide passengers with a more convenient, reliable, and well-planned travel experience.
The Deputy Minister also encouraged commuters to download the LMT GO application and make use of the new service.
According to the Ministry, the real-time tracking feature is expected to help passengers better plan their journeys and reduce uncertainty regarding bus arrival times.
