Rideegama will see major growth in the next year.
A new large-scale poultry processing factory is coming up in the Ambakote area. The project costs Rs. 6.45 billion, and the team plans to finish it within one year.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Namal Karunaratne visited the site on Tuesday (14) to check the progress.
The factory will create nearly 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. Therefore, this project will bring real work for people in and around Kurunegala.
Moreover, the factory will follow top global food safety rules. For example, it will get HACCP and ISO certification. Because of this, it will raise quality standards for the whole livestock sector in Sri Lanka.
The project also brings together local business owners and modern tech.
