Households will continue to pay the same prices for domestic LPG in August after both Litro Gas Lanka and Laugfs Gas decided not to increase retail prices despite rising costs in the international market.
Litro Gas Lanka said it will keep prices unchanged throughout August to provide relief to consumers. The company noted that global LPG prices and exchange rate pressures had increased costs, but current retail prices will remain in place.
The revised prices are:
- 12.5 kg cylinder: Rs. 4,465
- 5 kg cylinder: Rs. 1,792
- 2.3 kg cylinder: Rs. 835
Laugfs also keeps prices unchanged
Meanwhile, Laugfs Gas also confirmed that it will not revise the prices of its domestic LPG cylinders during August.
Customers in the Colombo District will continue to pay:
- 12.5 kg cylinder: Rs. 6,245
- 5 kg cylinder: Rs. 2,500
The decision means households can continue purchasing cooking gas at existing prices throughout August despite higher costs in the global LPG market.
