Air traffic operations returned to normal in Kuwait from June 11th after authorities lifted a temporary airspace closure imposed earlier in the day amid regional security concerns.
The reopening allows flights to operate on approved schedules through Kuwait International Airport, easing disruptions caused by precautionary measures introduced following regional tensions.
Airport Operations Return to Normal
According to Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), normal air traffic resumed after the situation that prompted the temporary closure eased.
The authority said Kuwait International Airport is now operating according to scheduled flight plans.
Officials added that the DGCA continues to monitor developments around the clock in coordination with relevant agencies inside and outside Kuwait.
Safety Monitoring Continues
The DGCA said any new developments affecting airspace safety would be assessed immediately, and appropriate measures would be implemented if required.
The authority also urged passengers to obtain travel updates through official channels.
Earlier on June 23, Kuwait temporarily closed its airspace and diverted flights as a precaution following regional tensions linked to Iranian strikes.
During the disruption, Kuwait Airways suspended all flights before operations resumed after the reopening of the country’s airspace.
