India has stepped in with critical medical assistance as Sri Lanka continues to deal with the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah. The Government of India is deploying two rapidly mobilisable field hospitals to provide emergency healthcare in disaster-hit districts.

According to the mission, the units are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka this evening, enabling authorities to expand medical coverage, treat injuries, and support overwhelmed local facilities.
This deployment marks another chapter in India’s longstanding emergency-response partnership with Sri Lanka, reinforcing regional cooperation at a time when the country is striving to stabilize communities and restore essential services after the cyclone’s devastation.
