People who urgently need a document attestation service can use a special Saturday service on three dates in October. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism will provide the service on October 17, 24 and 31, 2026.
Service hours will run from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Where Will the Service Be Available?
The special service will operate only at the Consular Affairs Division Head Office in Battaramulla.
It will not be available at other regional offices. Anyone planning to use the Saturday service must book an appointment in advance.
How to Book an Appointment
Appointments can be booked online through the e-Channelling system. Applicants should select the Ministry of Foreign Affairs service when making the booking and secure an appointment before visiting the office.
The Ministry has not indicated that walk-in applications will be accepted under this special arrangement.
For people who need urgent document attestation, the three Saturday dates provide an additional option outside the usual working week.
