Against this backdrop, Union Assurance honoured top-performing Sampath Bank employees at the Sampath Bank Life Leads Annual Awards 2025, recognizing individuals who contributed to the growth of the Life Lead channel during the year.
The awards ceremony was held at Cinnamon Life, Colombo, with the participation of senior management from Union Assurance and Sampath Bank, together with employees representing Sampath Bank’s branch network from across the country.
Top Performers Recognized
The event celebrated employees who demonstrated outstanding performance in introducing life insurance solutions to customers through the Life Lead programme.
Awards were presented across multiple categories, including Best Introducer, Best Branch, Best Regional Managers, and Best Chief Manager.
Special recognition was also awarded to the Top Life Leads Champion and the National Level Top Achiever.
According to Union Assurance, the awards recognize the contribution of branch employees whose daily interactions with customers continue to support the success of the Life Lead partnership.

The Life Leads program operates through the partnership between Union Assurance and Sampath Bank, combining insurance expertise with one of the country’s largest banking networks.
The collaboration aims to make life insurance solutions more accessible to customers through Sampath Bank’s branch network while creating additional value through bancassurance services.
Today, the annual awards program has become a key event in recognizing excellence within the partnership.
