The local entertainment and live event industry is preparing for a major technical shift with the launch of ShowLab Studio, the country’s first purpose-built previsualisation, lighting programming, and show integration facility.
The facility uses the same technologies used in international touring concerts, Broadway productions, West End performances, and arena-scale live events.
A New Step for the Entertainment Business
For concert organisers, theatre producers, corporate event planners, and entertainment businesses, the studio is expected to improve efficiency while reducing technical risks and production costs.
The facility aims to address long-standing industry challenges such as limited rehearsal time, venue restrictions, and technical uncertainty during live events.
By testing lighting, visuals, audio synchronisation, effects, and show control systems in advance, production teams can now prepare complex events in a controlled environment before the actual performance day.
Industry Experts Behind the Project
Marlon Jesudason and Co-Founder of Eyeon Digital Motion has played a major role in shaping modern event production standards locally through show design and creative direction.
Meanwhile, Obed Kushan brings expertise in LED systems, projection mapping, and visual simulation technology.
Dhanushka Aruna contributes technical expertise in live event engineering, lighting systems, and show control operations.
Advanced Production Tools Now Available Locally
ShowLab Studio includes professional systems such as grandMA3 lighting consoles, real-time 3D visualisation tools, LED and projection simulation systems, and advanced timecode integration technology.
These tools allow lighting designers, directors, and production teams to programme and synchronise shows with high precision before live execution.
The facility supports concerts, theatre productions, touring shows, and corporate events.
Industry Now Moving Toward Global Standards
As the entertainment and event industry continues to expand, businesses are increasingly demanding larger, more technically advanced productions.
Industry observers say facilities like ShowLab Studio could help local productions compete at international standards while improving production quality and operational reliability.
