Swiss carrier Edelweiss Air resumed its seasonal flight operations to Sri Lanka for the winter season, with the first flight touching down at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at 9:25 a.m. on October 31. The arrival was marked by a ceremonial water salute by Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Pvt. Limited (AASL).

- Enhanced Connectivity for Tourism: Edelweiss plays a pivotal role in linking Sri Lanka’s tourism sector with European markets. Last winter season, the airline transported over 5,500 passengers to Sri Lanka, significantly supporting local tourism.
