A stable exchange rate is important for businesses, importers, exporters and investors. It helps companies plan costs, price goods and manage foreign currency payments with greater confidence.
Although the exchange rate is only one measure of the economy, the past week’s performance points to a stable foreign exchange market. The US Dollar continued to trade around the Rs. 340 mark, with only limited day-to-day movements.
