Three vessels carrying 10,500 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas are set to arrive within the next eight days, according to Litro Gas Lanka Ltd..
Chairman Channa Gunawardena stated that the company has taken steps to secure its supply amid rising demand for cooking gas.
Litro normally releases about 1,100 metric tons to the market each day. However, it has now increased daily distribution to around 1,500 metric tons to stabilise availability.
The additional shipments are expected to ease pressure in the coming days and support steady islandwide distribution.
Officials say the expanded supply plan aims to prevent further shortages and ensure households receive uninterrupted gas deliveries.
