The National Election Commission of Sri Lanka has issued new guidelines for voting in the upcoming Presidential Election. Voters will be able to indicate their first preference for a candidate, as well as a second and third preference for other candidates. Alternatively, voters may choose to mark only their first preference.
The Commission, led by Chairman R. M. A. L. Rathnayake, aims to ensure clarity and fairness in the voting process. These updated guidelines provide two methods for casting a vote, giving citizens flexibility in expressing their choices.
