- October Pension Adjustment: While the October pension payments have already been processed, the Rs. 3,000 will be separately credited within the next week. Starting from November, the allowance will be included as part of the regular pension.
- Government’s Commitment Despite Financial Challenges: Acknowledging the government’s financial difficulties, President Dissanayake nonetheless prioritized the welfare of pensioners, deciding to proceed with the payment.
