President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Ravi Seneviratne, a former Senior Deputy Inspector General (DIG), as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security.
Seneviratne previously served as the Senior DIG overseeing the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), where he played a critical role in leading several high-profile investigations. His extensive background in law enforcement and public safety is expected to contribute significantly to enhancing the country’s security landscape under the new administration.
